Pretty Boring and All Over the Place, Enjoy

This past week I've been wiped out with a cold. Just a cold though, really it could have been worse. Plus, I've been averaging 2-3 colds a year for the past couple of years. This is very very good for me. Remind me to tell you about the 10 years of my life where I got sick every. single. month. Like clockwork. Two to three a year is paradise compared to that.

Unfortunately, now my allergies seem to be aggravating my recovery process. It's the time of year where there is a yellow film on everything outside, the only time of year when I have allergies, and it's making me feel kind of yucky.

It's warm here! The past week has been gorgeous. I know it's the cause of the yellow film, but I love it anyway.

I had a dream last night where I gave birth in someone's living room. The birth was really easy but then I couldn't birth the placenta. Yeah, I have no idea where that one came from, but for some reason it really stuck with me and left me with a yucky feeling so I had to write about it.

So, in the end there might be a possibility of a baby this month. I'm not saying how, but some sperm did manage to get near me at the general right time of the month. We're really good at following our therapist's advice, yes we are.

I know I've mentioned that my SIL is going through fertility treatments now. I really love her and consider her to be one of my few friends here. She can be a little closed though and we really haven't talked much about the whole thing since she told us she was starting the treatments.

Meanwhile, I've been dying to talk to her about it because I need someone to relate to about the whole TTC rollercoaster. So, last week during a family Purim get together we had a chance to talk alone, which doesn't often happen, and we both got to spill about where we were standing.

I got the lowdown on where they are and she now knows where we are in the process. It felt really good to talk about it, and open the line of communication. I don't have a lot of girlfriends here and recently I've been feeling like we were falling out of touch because we were both getting sucked in to our respective struggles, when really all I wanted to do was call her and tell her how crappy this all is. I'm trying to stop putting everything in my life on hold while we're trying to get pregnant, it's a process and it might take a long time and I don't want to wake up a couple of years from now and realize that I have no life left. This was a very good step in that direction.

I had lots of strange dreams about giving birth when I was pregnant. In nearly all of my dreams, the birth was incredibly easy. The weird thing was that I never rememebered actually seeing the baby.

I am glad to hear that you and your SIL are beginning to reconnect. You need a good support system. I live about 10 hours from my nearest relative. It is extremely difficult raising Porgie with virtually no family support.

I'm glad you and your SIL can talk. It feels good to let it all out.

Christy: Yup, easy birth and no baby, and I didn't really care either. And yes, hard to be so far away from MY relatives, and friends, I have like no girlfriends here.

Lisalou: Thanks. I agree.

Feel better and you're in my thoughts. Lots of positive baby vibes and virtual support your way. :)
