Happy Second Anniversary!

Dear E,

Remember this?

It wasn't easy. We really had a lot against us. But I'm so glad that we made the decision that we were the most important things in eachother's lives.

We've come along way since then, we've even managed to create our own little family.

Our relationship really does continue to get better and better, and grow deeper and deeper. And through it all, that is what convinces me that we are right for eachother. It's incredible that when I look at our wedding picture up there I see so much more in it, and get so much more enjoyment out of it than I did right after the wedding. I love going through this journey with you. I love you so very much E, and I can't wait to have more and more pictures to look back on together.

Lots of Tidbits

First, I would like to preface this by saying, dude, I suck. I'm sorry. It would be nice if I had some semblance of self discipline (with regard to anything, but in this case with regard to writing in my blog) but I don't. As a result, my blog posts appear when I have so many things to say floating around my head that they explode and appear in a hodge podge of a blog entry. This in turn results in blog entries that are all over the place and don't have much in terms of organization. I apologize, but they are better than no entries, am I right?

Now then, on with the show.

This week has been very difficult for me. I've been feeling severely exhausted lately. Not sure why, but it wasn't helped that I started out the week with a sleep deficit. This past weekend E and I went on a little weekend getaway with E's sister and her husband. All in all it was a good time. We went up north, and stayed in a very cute tzimmer (i.e. B and B) with a very crazy owner. He kept freaking out about things, like our check in time, and then would say things like "You look tense! Why are you tense! You are here to have fun!" Oy. We did some good hiking and got some good beach time in as well. I would have preferred a little more beach time, but the Tel Avivian half of the foursome (i.e. not us) wanted to hike because they had a beach all the time. Kind of sucky, but you take what you can get when you travel with another couple.

In addition, our puppy babysitter almost bailed on us when she couldn't get the Pups to shut up. She was just going to leave! Who does that?! In the end they survived but we will not be asking for her help anymore.

So, we got home late from that adventure and started out the week like walking zombies.

A couple of days later I got a call from an engineering firm (I use the word firm in the loose definition of the term) that I had hesitatingly sent my resume into after seeing an advertisement in the newspaper. So, I went and had an interview. For the first time in forever I feel like it's a place where I could be comfortable to work everyday. The boss is super nice and seems to have a good head on his shoulders, which is very important. Now I'm freaking out that they will find someone who they like better. All of this worrying is making me curl up in a ball and stay there. This is then making me not work on my sister's ketuba, which I need to finish for her wedding in a couple of months, which is then further paralyzing me, and the curl up in a ball pattern continues.

On to more important, completely unrelated issues. I was reading Amalah's extremely entertaining and helpful Wednesday Advice Smackdown, when someone asked a question that I could totally relate to: "I turned 25 and my face exploded, help!" I have been dealing with a similar issue for the past year or so and it's been driving me crazy. My Neutrogena and Oil of Olay are just not cutting it anymore. Everyone over there is singing the praises of Philosophy's facial stuff. I am now obsessed, and am already planning my purchases for when I visit the US next (this online shopping/scouting new great stuff that I can only get in the US of A always starts about three months before I go home, what can I do?). Anybody have experience with this stuff? Is it worth the money?

And in one more completely unrelated but important item. There is something that I need to just get off my chest and put out there on the blog, somewhere, anywhere, so that I can move on and write about what is really swirling around in this head of mine. E and I have agreed to start trying to have kiddies in the next couple of months or so. Now you may not think this is a big deal, but I am scared out of my mind. I want kiddies, I think they will be fun, but I am SCARED. That is why it is a big deal to me. If I had a catagories on this blog I would add a new category now about possible babies, but I don't, because I use blogger, so you will have to pretend. So more to come on that, be prepared.

I think now I will update my links to reveal all of the great mom blogs that I am secretly addicted to. You all do know that I read a hell of a lot more blogs than I have listed, right? To get a better idea, check out all of the blogrolls of the blogs I have listed, it's a bit more accurate.

Notes to the Participants

This past week (well, last week, I'm a little behind on the posting, heh) was a bit overwhelming. E was away the entire week for a conference and I was looking forward to having some time to myself. E and I are not a couple who does things by ourselves. We do everything together. It's great, we love it and it's who we are. But every now and then it's nice to be able to do what you want, when you want, and not have to take another person into account. So, I had lofty plans of sitting on the couch doing nothing, laying in the sun doing nothing, and doing lots more of nothing. And wouldn't you know, my entire week gets sucked away by... stuff. I have no idea how it happened, but not only did I not have free time in the end, I also ended up being more stressed out than normal. So here are some notes to all the participants in my lovely week of relaxation, lets do it again soon, ok?

Note to the Puppy:

Just because I am not E does not mean I cannot hold down the fort! While the sentiment is appreciated and I know you care, the 300% increase of barking drives me insane. And my insanity in turn drives you more insane because you think I am losing control. A lovely cycle.

The pups likes a leader and no matter what I do I can't convince her that I am worthy of that position. Since E has returned all has quieted down and the Puppers's nervous habits, like licking etc., are dissappearing once again. I, on the other hand, am still pissed by the obvious disrespect shown by the furry member of our household.

Note to the endocrinologist:

Yes, I know a "monkey" could treat hypothyroidism. And while this is the case, it is still glaringly obvious that I am being undertreated by said "monkey" and that is why I still feel like crapola. Plus, the upping your dosage by 30% thing when you get pregnant? Good to know, I'm sure the "monkey" wouldn't have told me that when the time comes. I'm sorry my disease is not so interesting, but until I can write my own blood test referrals and perscriptions someone with a medical degree has to take care of me.

Dude, the medical system in this country can be great and cheap but they really do require all of their patients to have a degree in googleology in order to get good treatment.

Note to the Invitation Lady:

I appreciate you giving me some freelance work of the artisty variety, but I am undercharging you and you need to get your clients to make up their minds. The work I do for you does take more than five seconds to do.

Oy, this sounds very whiny. But now that the notes have been given we can all move on with our lives. Maybe next time I'll actually be able to sit on my butt and watch TV like I planned.
